About METAFRAM
METAFRAM is a French brand of sintered self-lubricating bearings whose history as a bushing manufacturer dates back to 1959. The brand is credited with developing high-performance oil-impregnated sintered plain bearings, and METAFRAM products are designed and manufactured in France at a workshop in Oloron-Sainte-Marie using powder metallurgy.
The range centers on self-lubricating bushings and bearings produced by pressing and sintering metal powders, whose porous structure is impregnated with oil for maintenance-free operation. Standard materials include the bronze grade BP25 and the iron alloy grades FP20 and SO16, offered as cylindrical and flanged bushings among other forms.
