About INA
INA is a bearing brand of Germany's Schaeffler Group. The business was founded in 1946 in Herzogenaurach by brothers Wilhelm and Georg Schaeffler as Industrie-GmbH. Its breakthrough came in 1949, when Georg Schaeffler developed the needle roller cage, a design that turned the needle roller bearing into a reliable, mass-producible machine element and gave the company its name, Industrie Nadellager.
The INA range covers needle roller bearings and a wide spectrum of rolling bearings, plain bearings, and linear motion technology; the brand introduced its first linear guidance product, the flat cage guide, in 1955. Within the Schaeffler Group, INA sits alongside the FAG and LuK brands, with FAG covering ball and roller bearings and LuK focused on drivetrain components.
INA components are used in automotive transmissions and engines, machine tools, production machinery, and industrial automation equipment worldwide.
