About STROMAG
Stromag is a German manufacturer of power transmission components, founded in 1932 and headquartered in Unna in Westphalia. The company began with conductor rails and electric crane equipment and developed over the decades into an established producer of clutches, brakes, and couplings. After a period under GKN ownership, Stromag was acquired by Altra Industrial Motion at the end of 2016 and is today part of Regal Rexnord.
The product program includes electromagnetically, hydraulically, and pneumatically actuated clutches and brakes, flexible couplings, industrial disc brakes, and limit switches for drivetrain control in heavy machinery.
Stromag components are specified in cranes and hoists, wind turbines, mining equipment, and other demanding drivetrain applications.
