About Sprecher+Schuh

Sprecher+Schuh is a manufacturer of low-voltage industrial control products founded in 1903 in Aarau, Switzerland, by engineers Carl Sprecher and Heinrich Schuh. The young company produced innovative switchgear for its era, including automatic switches, overload devices, and high-interrupting-capacity fuses, and in 1906 it played a role in the formation of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). Sprecher+Schuh was acquired by Rockwell in 1993 and today operates as an independent brand of Rockwell Automation.

The current range centers on IEC motor control and protection: contactors, overload and control relays, manual motor starters and complete starter combinations, push buttons and pilot devices, switches, terminals, and electronic controllers. Products are still manufactured primarily at the company's facility in Aarau.

Typical users include OEM machine builders and control panel builders worldwide.
