About ORIENTAL MOTOR
ORIENTAL MOTOR is a Japanese manufacturer of small precision motors and motion control products, founded in 1885 by Yasutaro Kuraishi in the Nihonbashi district of Tokyo. After reorganizing following World War II, the company took the Oriental Motor name in 1953 and built its business around compact AC motors, control motors and, later, stepper motor technology, with more than 50,000 products available today.
The range covers stepper motors and drivers, servo motors, brushless DC motors, AC constant-speed and speed-control motors, gearheads, linear and rotary actuators, and cooling fans. A flagship line is the aSTEP family of closed-loop stepper systems, introduced with the AS series in 1998, which combines open-loop simplicity with feedback that prevents loss of synchronism.
