About MINIMAX

Minimax is a German fire protection company founded in 1902 in Berlin by Wilhelm Graaff and headquartered today in Bad Oldesloe, Schleswig-Holstein. Initially famous for its portable fire extinguishers, the company achieved an international position in mobile extinguishers in the early twentieth century and later developed into a supplier of complete fire protection systems. Since merging with the American sprinkler manufacturer Viking in 2009, it has formed part of the Minimax Viking Group.

The portfolio covers fire detection technology and stationary extinguishing systems, including sprinkler systems and gaseous extinguishing systems; Minimax developed its own halocarbon systems using the agents FM-200 and Novec 1230. The company also provides system integration, modernization, and service.

Its systems protect industrial plants, power generation facilities, warehouses, and commercial buildings.
