About MAGNETROL
Magnetrol is a US manufacturer of level and flow instrumentation founded in 1932 and headquartered in Aurora, Illinois. The company began with a mechanical buoyancy-based level switch and spent the following decades focused on process level measurement. In March 2021 Magnetrol International was acquired by AMETEK, Inc. and now operates as AMETEK Magnetrol.
Its portfolio spans contact and non-contact level technologies: the Eclipse guided wave radar transmitters, including the Model 706, the Echotel ultrasonic switches and transmitters, and Modulevel displacer-type transmitters such as the E3 and E4, plus float-actuated switches and flow instruments. Magnetrol introduced its first Eclipse guided wave radar line in 1998.
The instruments are widely applied in oil and gas, refining, chemical and petrochemical plants, power generation and water and wastewater treatment.
