About KENDRION
Kendrion N.V. is a Dutch manufacturer of electromagnetic components headquartered in Amsterdam. The group traces its origins to Schuttersveld N.V., established in 1859 in Enschede, the Netherlands, and to the German precision-parts firm W. Binder, founded in 1911, which later specialized in electromagnetic technology. The Kendrion name was adopted in 2001, and after the sale of its automotive business in 2024 the company concentrates fully on industrial markets.
Kendrion develops and produces electromagnetic actuators and solenoids, solenoid valves, electromagnetic and spring-applied brakes, and control technology, organized in the business groups Industrial Brakes and Industrial Actuators and Controls. Its brake portfolio includes the INTORQ brand, with spring-applied series such as the BFK458 used on geared and servo motors, while Kendrion Kuhnke covers fluid, solenoid and control technology.
These components are used in electric drive technology, machine building and factory automation.
