About INGERSOLL RAND
Ingersoll Rand is an American industrial manufacturer whose roots reach back to 1871, when Simon Ingersoll founded the Ingersoll Rock Drill Company and the Rand brothers established the Rand Drill Company. The two businesses merged in 1905 to form Ingersoll-Rand, which became known early on for supplying rock drills and air compressors, including equipment used in the construction of the Panama Canal.
Today the company designs and manufactures a broad range of air and gas compression equipment, vacuum and blower products, fluid transfer equipment, power tools and lifting equipment. Compressed air systems and pneumatic tools are among its most recognized product areas; the company entered pneumatic tools in 1907 and began producing the jackhammer in 1913.
Ingersoll Rand equipment is used across general manufacturing, construction, energy and process industries wherever compressed air, vacuum or fluid handling is required.
