About GHISALBA
Ghisalba is an Italian manufacturer of motor control components and systems, founded in 1947 by Renato Ghisalba in Turin. The workshop initially repaired industrial machinery damaged during the Second World War and gradually developed into a specialized producer of low-voltage switching equipment; the company, today based in Rivoli near Turin, has been ISO 9001 certified since 1997.
The core program consists of three- and four-pole contactors for AC duty up to 1250 A at 1000 VAC as well as DC applications, thermal overload relays such as the TOR and RTD series that protect motors against overload and phase failure, the DDMP digital diagnostic motor protection device, and control and signalling auxiliaries. Ghisalba also builds switchboards for motor control and power distribution.
Its components are found in motor starters and control panels, with long-standing references among Italian utilities and international shipbuilders.
