About FOXBORO
FOXBORO is an American process instrumentation brand founded in 1908 in Foxboro, Massachusetts, as the Industrial Instrument Company by brothers E.H. and B.B. Bristol. Over more than a century it became one of the recognized names in process measurement and control, and since the acquisition completed in 2014 it has been part of Schneider Electric.
The brand covers field instrumentation and control systems for continuous processes: pressure and differential pressure transmitters, temperature instruments, magnetic flowmeters (Foxboro introduced an early commercially successful magnetic flowmeter), level and analytical measurement, and controllers. On the systems side, the distributed control offering continues today as the EcoStruxure Foxboro DCS under Schneider Electric.
Foxboro instrumentation is used across oil and gas, petrochemical, power generation, pulp and paper, food and beverage, and water and wastewater treatment plants.
