About FISHER

Fisher is an American control valve brand with roots in Marshalltown, Iowa, where William Fisher developed his Type 1 pump governor in 1880; the business was incorporated as Fisher Governor Company in 1888. After more than a century of growth, Fisher was acquired by Emerson Electric in 1992 and today operates within Emerson's process management organization, with the historic Marshalltown site still active.

The brand is among the oldest and largest names in control valves and regulators. Its offering includes control valves, pressure regulators, and valve instrumentation, notably the FIELDVUE family of digital valve controllers such as the DVC6200, which provides HART-based positioning and online valve diagnostics.

Fisher equipment is widely specified in chemical, refining, oil and gas, power generation, and pulp and paper plants.
