About CEMP MOTOR
CEMP is an Italian manufacturer of explosion-proof electric motors, established in 1954 in the Milan area. The company began producing flameproof motors to IEC standards in 1972 and has operated from its plant in Senago, near Milan, since 1977. After a period within Regal Rexnord, CEMP has been part of the WEG Group since 2024.
CEMP specializes in flameproof and explosion-proof low-voltage motors certified to the European ATEX directive and IECEx scheme, including Ex db and Ex db eb designs for gas and dust atmospheres. The range covers aluminum and cast iron motors in frame sizes 63 to 355 and outputs from 0.09 kW up to 132 kW, in efficiency classes IE1 to IE3; the AB30 series of flameproof motors is one of its widely used product lines.
Typical applications are found in oil and gas, chemical, marine and mining environments where hazardous-area certification is required.
