About BAUMER
Baumer is a Swiss sensor manufacturer founded in 1952 by Herbert Baumer in Frauenfeld, where the group is still headquartered. The family-owned company started with precision mechanics and the 500 series of microswitches, introduced its first in-house inductive proximity sensor in 1969, and has grown into a group with around 2,800 employees and sites in 19 countries.
The portfolio includes rotary encoders and angle measurement devices, inductive, capacitive, photoelectric and ultrasonic sensors, vision sensors and industrial cameras, and process instrumentation for pressure, temperature and level measurement.
Baumer sensors are applied in factory automation, robotics, packaging machinery, food and beverage processing and other industrial sectors.
