About AUTRONICA
Autronica Fire and Security AS is a Norwegian manufacturer of fire and gas detection and alarm systems, established in Trondheim on 9 September 1957. The company develops detection technology for use on land and at sea, with systems designed to meet the European EN 54 standard as well as maritime SOLAS requirements. In May 2026, MSA Safety announced an agreement to acquire the company.
Well-known product lines include AutroSafe, an addressable fire detection system launched in 1999 for large and complex installations such as cruise ships, hotels, and drilling platforms, and AutroPrime, an integrated system for small to medium sized sites. Both incorporate the company's SelfVerify technology for automatic detector self-testing, and the portfolio also covers gas detection and temperature monitoring.
