About ASCO
ASCO is an American manufacturer of solenoid valves and fluid automation products whose history dates back to 1888, when it was founded as the Automatic Switch Company, initially making controls for elevators, compressors and generators. In 1910 the company introduced an electrically operated solenoid valve, and in 1985 it was acquired by Emerson, under whose automation business the ASCO brand operates today. In 2008 Emerson combined ASCO's North American operations with its Numatics pneumatics business to form ASCO Numatics.
The core ASCO range consists of general service solenoid valves for air, inert gas, water and other fluids, best recognized through the Red Hat and Red Hat II valve lines, including the widely specified Series 8210 brass and stainless steel two-way valves. The brand also covers valves with watertight and explosionproof solenoid enclosures for demanding environments.
Applications include industrial water control, air compressors, pumps, laundry and car wash equipment, and general fluid control tasks across process and machinery industries.
