About ALIMAK HEK

Alimak Hek is a manufacturer of rack-and-pinion vertical access equipment with roots in Sweden. Alimak was founded in 1948 in Skellefteå by inventor Alvar Lindmark and introduced its rack-and-pinion construction hoist in the early 1960s, a technology with which the brand became closely identified. The Hek name was added in 2001 through a merger with the Dutch company Hek, a producer of construction hoists and work platforms since 1961.

The product portfolio includes construction hoists for personnel and materials, permanently installed industrial elevators, transport platforms, material hoists, and mast climbing work platforms, supported by a sales and service network covering more than 90 countries.

The equipment is used on construction sites and in industrial environments such as power plants, ports, bridges, and oil and gas installations where reliable vertical access is required.
